The many hotels across Da Nang allocated to accommodate the international athletes and coaches during the forthcoming 5th Asia Beach Games (ABG5) are ready to serve their guests.

Amongst them is the Royal Lotus Hotel Danang which will provide 120 rooms for around 300 ABG5 athletes and coaches.

The hotel’s Director, Mr Hoang Tuan Anh, said “In order to enhance the service quality for this international sporting event, my hotel has sent the managers of our restaurants, housekeeping and reception departments on training courses organised by the municipal Department of Tourism. After finishing the courses, the attendees then trained their own staff members”.

Thanks to its top-class services, the Furama Resort Danang has made it onto the list of 5 selected 5-star hotels to accommodate invited guests from the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).

Mr Nguyen Duc Quynh, Deputy Director of the resort, said that the Furama has worked closely with food suppliers to prepare various dishes suitable for Muslim or Hindu guests during their stay in the city. He added that a facility maintenance team has been set up to ensure the best service for guests.

Mrs Le Thi Cam, CEO of the Samdi Hotel, said “As of now, my hotel has prepared 50 rooms providing 5-star facilities and infrastructure for 6 delegations of participating athletes. In addition, some fascinating musical and cuisine programmes will be organised in the hotel for the international guests. This will help to give them a good impression of the people and places in Viet Nam”.

Apart from providing the best accommodation, the selected hotels have prepared impressive programmes to draw much attention from their guests.

In particular, a music band from the Philippines will perform at the skybar of the Royal Lotus Hotel Danang between 3.00pm and 11.00pm every day (except for Mondays).

Whilst staying at the Furama Resort Danang, guests can enjoy nightly traditional Cham dances on the nearby beach or the music band in the hotel’s Hai Van Lounge.

During his recent meeting with local relevant agencies, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung stressed the need for them to ensure the success of the opening and closing ceremonies of ABG5.

The 90-minute-long opening ceremony will take place at 5.00pm on Saturday 24 September. An arts programme entitled ‘Bien Goi’ (The Sea is Calling) will include 10 impressive performances to showcase the city’s own cultural identities.

The 75-minute-long closing ceremony, including a musical performance themed ‘Khat Vong Bien Xanh’ (Blue Sea Aspirations), will be held at 5.00pm on 3 October.
